Synchroteam allows you to choose your level of security and create your passwords based on that.
Choose a level of security
You have 5 levels of password strength: very low, low, medium, high and very high.
When creating or editing a password you will be able to help yourself with the color bars in order to see if you have reached the proper level of security.
Please note that the minimum level of security authorized by Synchroteam is medium. Beneath this level you won't be able to save your passwords.
In order to select that level of security go to "Settings" (1) > "Options" (2) > "Security" (3) > then select one of the three levels of security allowed : medium, high or very high (4).
As an administrator you can choose the passwords for all users by creating or editing their user files. To see how to do so, click here.
If you have forgotten your password or wish to edit it, you can either do it through an administrator or directly from Synchroteam's login page.
- From an administrator's account
As seen above you can edit a user's password by editing the user file or if you have their email address you have the option of sending them a reset password link by email.
To do so go to "Settings" (1) > "Users" (2) > select a user (3) and click on "Reset Password" (4).
They will then receive an email with a link via which they will have to enter their new password (1) and then click on "Set Password" (2).
If the link has expired then you can still click on the link then on "Send new link" and provide your email address linked to your user account in order to receive a new email enabling you to reset your password.
- From the login page
Users with a registered email address can also reset their password by going the Synchroteam's login page and clicking on the link "Forgotten Password?" (1), after which they will enter their email address (2) and will receive the email with the password reset link.
Changing the technician’s password on the app
If a technician wishes to change their own password, they can do it directly from the mobile application.
To do so : log out > go to the login page > click on « Change password » (1) > fill in your current password (2) > provide a new password which meets the level of security required (see section above) (3) > confirm the new password (4) > click on “Change password” (5).
Please note that the link « Change Password » will only be displayed if the technician has logged in at least once on the app and hasn’t clicked on the « Wipe all data » button.
