Activities can be created in order to be visible in the various schedule views (holidays, training, sick leave, etc.). These activities can be created for a Technician, a Team or all technicians.
1 : click on "Settings" from any view
2 : click on "Activity Types"
The "Travel" activity type is used for GPS tracking:
Example: to add a "Holiday" activity type
1 : Name the activity type
2 : Choose between 2 Types of activities : "At work activity" and "Unavailability" knowing that an unavailability will create a conflict whenever a job is scheduled at the same time.
3 : Choose whether the activity is private or not. If you select yes, then the activity won't be synchronized on the mobile app and technicians won't be able to see, create and edit them.
4 : Pick the color you want to associate to this activity
5 : Finally, click on the "Add" button
Example : let's create a "Holiday" activity " for a Technician
In order to create an activity:
1 : Go to Schedule
2 : Then go to Day, Week, Month or Activities
3. Click on Add then on "Unavalability / Activity"
Then :
- (1) Choose an activity type
- (2) You can choose between one or more technicians, and add technicians one by one.
- (3) You can also choose to assign the activity to one or more technician groups.
- (4) Click on the start date, then on a date in the calendar, and do the same for the end date.
- (5) Enter a start and end time for the activity, or select the "All day" option (start time = 16:00 and end time = 17.00).
- (6) Add a note (optional).
- (7) Click "Create".
You can select multi-technicians or multi-Teams or both, and select technicians from different teams :
- By selecting a Team, only the technicians in the Team will be listed, and if you select no technician, the activity will be added to all technicians in the Team.
- You can select multiple Teams, and choose one or more technicians from each Team, or select no technicians, in which case the activity will be added to all technicians in the selected Teams.
You will then to see the activity in the Schedule views and you will be able to edit it by clicking on it then by clicking on its timeframe.

Please note that if you activate the Time Tracking in "Settings" > "Options" you will have access to other options.
You will be able to:
1 : Create a 3rd type of activity : Travel
2 : Choose whether you want to consider the activity as payable or not
Travel activities can only be started from the mobile application as they enable you to get a travel's real duration as well as the distances made by technicians during their work days.

Travel activities also allows you to track technicians in the map during their trips, provided that they have have activated the GPS Tracking option.
IMPORT YOUR ACTIVITES
Synchroteam also allows you to import your activities.
To do so go to “Settings” (1) > “Import / Export” (2), click on “Import Activities” (3), then “Upload”, select your csv. file, click on “Preview” and proceed with the mapping of your fields (4) before importing your file (5).
Your file must contain at least the activity name and the start and end date.
If you leave the technician and group fields empty, then the activity will be scheduled for all technicians.
